Where to Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Newton County

The clock is ticking as we say goodbye to 2019 and ring in the new year. Countdown to midnight during a festive event on New Year’s Eve at one of our popular places in Newton County. You can stay local and have fun!

Newton County Boys & Girls Club New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball

Support our local Boys & Girls Club as they host their inaugural Masquerade Ball on Dec. 31 at the Oxford Dining Hall. The event starts with a VIP Happy Hour at 8pm and then the Masquerade Ball begins at 9pm. Go glam with a decorative mask and enjoy an evening out with a live band, hors d’oeuvres, and open bar.

Totally Awesome 80s Prom New Year’s Eve Party

Milazzo’s Ristorante in Porterdale will be hosting a Totally Awesome 80s Prom on New Year’s Eve. It’s time to dress in your best prom style and join Milazzo’s Ristorante for an exciting evening of 80s music with dancing. They will also have a prom photo booth to capture memories of the evening. Your reservations include an appetizer and champagne toast at midnight.

Social Circle Theater New Year’s Eve Celebration

Join the Rotary Club of Social Circle during their New Year’s Eve Celebration at the Social Circle Theater. Chris, Jon and Scott will be performing with their incredible sound, diversity and musicianship. There will be heavy hors d'oeuvres, cash bar and a champagne toast. The event starts at 8:30pm. Make your reservations before they sell out and show your support of the Rotary Club of Social Circle’s work in the community.

Glow in the Dark New Year’s Eve Special Service

New Life Praise Center will host a Glow in the Dark New Year’s Eve Special Service on Dec. 31 starting at 10pm. Ring in the year with the theme “Shine On” that will inspire and encourage fellowship. Refreshments will be served after the service, which starts at 10pm at the Praise Center in Covington.

While making your plans for New Year’s Eve, schedule time to go to dinner before the event. Many of our local restaurants will have great features that evening to celebrate. A few popular restaurants with specials are Mystic Grill, City Pharmacy, and RL’s Off the Square. If you are having your own party or bringing something to a friend’s party, several local restaurants and bakeries cater and can assist with platters, dips and other party foods. Popular places for catering are Plain Nuts, Amici’s, Bread and Butter Bakery, and Jessicakes Bakery.
