Things to Do in Covington: Candlelight Christmas

candlelight christams tourWe know it’s not even Halloween yet, but it’s never too early to start planning what you are going to do this holiday season in Covington, GA.  Covington has many great things to offer, including a variety of tours, but this holiday season they’re doing things a little different, they’re holding a Candlelight Christmas Tour, which is being hosted by Satsuki Garden Club.

The Candlelight Christmas Tour is going to be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 1-7pm.  Most of the tour will be held in Covington, but one of the stops on this tour is located in Oxford, GA. Tickets for this event cost twenty dollars and can be purchased at Benton House.

Along with the Candlelight Christmas Tour, you are invited to the Benton House to celebrate the holiday season.  While here you will get to join in on Benton House’s Festival of Trees, and enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, homemade holiday desserts, hot chocolate and tea.

This tour will be a great change in how you celebrate the holiday season, while you get to experience the beautiful interiors of a variety of styles of homes.

The homes that are featured on this Tour include:

·         Home of Jim & Glynora Watterson  (federal two-story style)

·         Home of Jim & Pat Bryan (craftsmen style)

·         Home of Don & Pat Showalter (Asian fusion)

·         Home of Jeff & Amanda Wagner (Southern living)

·         Home of Dan & Shelby Wisner (Golf Course Haven)

·         Ronnie & Kelley Johnston (Victorian)
