    Mystic Grill Restaurant in Covington

mysticCovington may be the Hollywood of the South, but that doesn’t mean that everything that takes place on film here isn’t real.  Fans of The Vampire Diaries will know all about the Mystic Grill from the show, but until recently it was not an actual restaurant.  However, the building that has the Mystic Grill for the show has been transformed into an actual restaurant in downtown Covington, and will be opening soon!

The restaurant will be a great place for fans of the show, as well as everyday patrons, to come in and get something delicious to eat in a unique setting.  It will also feature a gift shop of The Vampire Diaries memorabilia for fans to remember the experience with.

The Mystic Grill restaurant will also pride itself on using local produce as much as possible, and has a team of chefs working to perfect the recipes.  Not only will fans be able to eat where the Vampire Diary characters do, but they can enjoy apples, strawberries, blueberries, peaches, and other delicious foods grown from nearby.

They’re getting closer to opening, with the finishing touches going in now, so be sure to keep your eyes open for when this vampire hangout opens its doors to the public!

Didn’t even get make it past the hostess stand. We started calling for reservations on Thursday, our group was told our manager will call you tomorrow (reservations for 9 attempting to be made). No call on Friday, so we call back and are told the exact same thing. Call again Saturday and are told, we don’t have a reservation for you in our book, but shouldn’t be a problem, you can come at 6pm (requested time). Well, we get there at just before 6pm and the manager is there. She was RUDE! She told us we did not have a reservation, didn’t matter what previous 3 employees told us, she had just gotten back from vacation. She would be happy to seat us, but we would have to be out by 7:15, because they had another party to seat at 7:30! We asked, what makes them more important and were told well, they have a reservation! Needless to say, they did not get our money that evening and will never get it going forward!!!!!!!

I am going to retract my post from July 14th. Angie and her team were AWESOME! They asked us to give them a second chance and we did! And we are all beyond happy that we did! The food was fabulous, the restaurant set up was exceptional. We definitely plan on going back and making this a monthly outing for a great group of friends!
